JAVIER SALAZAR / CREATIVE DIRECTOR

 

Award-winning director, IP creator, and showrunner, with a proven track record of 20+ years creating, producing, directing, and delivering animated content.

Salazar started drawing comics at 4 and never looked back. He studied advertising, TV production, and scriptwriting. He polished those skills for years working as an advertising copywriter, senior producer, and TV creative director, until one day in 2005 when he finally decided to fulfill his childhood dream of creating his own cartoons.

That day BANZAI Studio was born.

​

For the last 18 years, Salazar has been responsible for the creation and production of numerous projects, spanning from educational TV shows and advertisements to promos and video games. He has also directed over 200 episodes of animated series, a documentary series, and two multi-awarded stop-motion short films. 

 

In 2021 Salazar moved to Vancouver, Canada, where he continues to create and produce quality content while offering creative consulting to his international clients.

 

Salazar is also a proud father, an amateur samurai, and a not-so-talented guitar player.
