JAVIER SALAZAR / DIRECTOR - FOUNDER
Salazar started drawing cartoons at 4, and he never stopped. He studied advertising, TV production and scriptwriting, and he spent many years polishing that particular set of skills in Ad agencies and TV channels until one day, in 2005, when he decided to finally fulfill his childhood dream of creating his own animated shows; and that day Banzai was born. Salazar is involved in the creation and direction of most of the studio's projects. He is also a father, an amateur samurai and a poor guitar player.
But he keeps on drawing every day.
JAVIER MRAD / DIRECTOR - COFOUNDER
An award winning Designer and Animatior, Mrad dedicated his career to investigating and experimenting with new languages and techniques in the animation field, thus becoming one of the most respected on-air designers in Latin America. And then he decided to leave it all and focus in directing his own personal projects: His stopmotion shortfilms have been exhibited and awarded all around the globe, and he is finishing the programming of an extraordinary strategy video-game that will amaze -and keep busy- every true nerd in the world.
SOLE CASTRO VIRASORO / SALES & NEW BUSINESS
Sole studied literature, scriptwriting and drama, and took intensive courses in marketing and sales. With the experience she acquired in companies such as Microsoft, Viacom and Smilehood, she specialized in transmedia strategies for Intellectual properties and brands, mainly to be able to boost her own I.P.s.
At Banzai, Sole is in charge of client contact and new business opportunities. If you are not impressed yet, you must know that she owned a bakery store, she wrote a book, she speaks four languages and she can kicks a** taekwondo style too!
SEBASTIAN SEMPRONII / HEAD OF PRODUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT
An experienced animation and production professional, Seba has covered every single position in the production field: from VFX and 3D technical supervisor to head of production for countless advertising, gaming and content projects, including a full length CGI feature film. Based in Europe, Seba is now in charge of international coproductions and new developments for Banzai. Seba is a musician too, he used to be a pretty good kickboxer, and he owns a couple of dachshunds –named Leia and Luke- who have just had 8 puppies!
